How One Tool Eliminated a Bottleneck That Cost Hours Every Week

Context
At Jahez, every screen in the app relies on high-quality images — food photos for menu items, category flat-lays, and 3D icons for UI elements. As a product designer working across multiple surfaces, Omar found himself blocked repeatedly by the same bottleneck: waiting on images that didn't exist yet.
The traditional workflow looked like this:
Write a brief describing the image needed
Send the request to the design team or a freelancer
Wait 1–3 days for a first draft
Review and provide feedback
Wait another round for revisions
Export and drop into Figma
This cycle happened dozens of times per project — every icon, every food photo, every category thumbnail. The result was predictable: design work stalled, mockups shipped with placeholder assets, and stakeholder reviews happened with incomplete fidelity.
"I was designing the full cart and checkout experience, but half the food images were just colored rectangles. You can't properly validate a menu UI without real food photography."
The Solution
A Figma plugin that generates production-quality images directly on the canvas using OpenAI's gpt-image-1 model. Instead of submitting a request and waiting, the designer types a title, adjusts a few parameters, and hits Generate. The image appears on the Figma canvas in under 30 seconds, ready to use.

as you can see above that the two colors have the same Saturation and Lightness so why the blue looks darker?
So trying to create a scalable adaptive color theme this way will cause problems and will not help us create accessible colors.
Soora supports three image types:
3D Icon
UI icons, category markers, app illustrations
Cuisines
Food photography for menu items and dish cards
Category
Flat-lay editorial shots for category screens
Each type has contextual controls: lighting presets, plate styles, perspective angles, reference image upload, and product image injection for brand-accurate category shots.
